A Selection of Finished Felt Baubles......

Morning all, well another month is nearly over.....I must be getting old, as time seems to be whizzing past so fast lately LOL !!

Here are some more baubles that I've made ready for the start of Xmas Fairs.
I've used hot fix crystals on them to high-light them.

This one is actually a Robert Addams die.....I took a chance and cut it out of thin paper-like sheet of felt. It cut out beautifully. I've just done some small stitches to hold in place.

Really pleased to say I've managed to do a blog for every day again this month.....not sure if I can keep this up.....but will try !!

See you all next month !!!! xxx

Washi Tape Candle......

Morning all, a bit late with the blog today, was busy yesterday taking my son back to Oxford. I'm glad to say that the roads were fine and only took under 2 hours each way !!

Here is a candle that I've decorated with washi-tape. I've photographed it on a white & black background - to try and see details clearly.
Very quick and easy to do....

Enjoy your week back to work, after the bank holiday.....Still nice and sunny here in Kent.....but luckily a little cooler at night. x

I'm taking my son back to Oxford today.....just hope the M25 will be behaving itself and not have any traffic jams !!!!

I've knitted a gingerbread man over the weekend, but have not had the chance to photograph it....will try and do it when I get back today, ready to show you tomorrow.

Bye for now x

A Bit Of A Tangle !!!!!

Morning all, hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday weekend so far.....

As my eldest son was home for the weekend, I decided to sort out some wool to do some knitting downstairs as I couldn't get into the craft room.

I have 2 large ottomans full of wool......and you know what it's like.....you rummage through looking for a particular colour wool, and after time you end up with a tangled mess !!!!

So I bagged up the "tangle" and took it downstairs to de-tangle during Friday evening. My husband was watching me for a while, when he suddenly started helping ........ the two of us took the whole evening to sort out into balls again.
I've now put them into sandwich bags......so hopefully, wont get tangled again !!

Yesterday's craft fair started off really well, I had sold quite a few things in the first 1hr, which more than covered the cost of the table.....then sold a few more bits in the next 2 hrs........but the last hour nothing!! No-one seemed to be coming in, despite the organisers going up and down the high street handing out fliers.

So I still happy to have made a profit !!  On the plus side, there were two ladies selling cupcakes £1.50 each or 2 for £2.00, well come the end of the fair, when we all started packing up they reduced them to 6 for £3.00.......so bought 6 home for the boys, hubby & me ......oh well there goes some of the profits LOL !!!

Doing another craft fair next Saturday in a new venue....so hopefully will make some money.

Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend, and thanks for stopping by xxx

Tea Light Holders ready for Christmas.....

Morning all, hope you are all well & happy on this bank holiday weekend.

My eldest son arrived home for the weekend yesterday. He is going to do "white water rafting", along with his brother and dad somewhere in London today, whilst I'm doing my craft fair.

Hope they all have a good time........not my cup of tea i must admit.......i don't even like getting splashed !!!!

On to crafting.....I recently bought a set of wooden tea light holders from a craft company on line. I have 4 stars and 4 snowflakes. I decided to have a go at decorating them. I use the cosmic shimmer blending ink on the snowflake and some green acrylic paint on the stars.
Once dried, I have decorated them with peel-offs and gems.
To make sure the peel-offs stay on, I then painted a layer of P.V.A glue over the entire piece to give a tougher coating.
Will try and sell at the Christmas fairs later on in the year.

I have also started to paint the others in gold & silver paint. Once dry I will decorate and show you all.

Have a good saturday, and please pop by tomorrow for a report back !!!! xx

Butterfly Candle.......

Morning all, hope you are well & happy and if you've had the hot temperatures where you live, you are coping well !!!

A light change of craft for me today. I decided to do a print onto a candle to match the lovely ribbon i bought a while ago from "The Range".

I stamped onto pale pink tissue paper this butterfly 3 times, and using the cosmic shimmer cloud blending ink I coloured them in using a small paintbrush.
Then I wrapped the tissue paper around the candle and heated it using a heat gun. The wax on the candle melts into the tissue paper, which when cool, sticks to the candle.
I used red tape to stick the ribbon around the top and bottom of the candle.
Will take with me tomorrow to see if I can sell it.
Will let you know on Sunday how the craft fair goes.

Bye for now. x

Baubles!!!!!!

Morning all, hope you are all well & happy today.

I'm racing ahead with making things to sell at my craft fairs later in the year.

A little while I showed you some paper clay moulds that I had used to create little embellishments for cards. Being made out of paper clay, they are extremely light. I had recently bought these plastic baubles, which come in two halves, with a piece of card in the centre. The idea is to decorate each side of the piece of card before putting the two halves together. I decided to glue my Christmas moulds onto the card, once I had put some decorative papers on.
The plastic baubles have glitter already on them, so they don't need much decoration. I've just put a sentiment on the back of these.

There is also a star shaped one, which I haven't decorated yet.
My eldest will be home tomorrow night for the weekend, so will have to tidy this craft room up, so that he can sleep here !!

Enjoy the rest if the day. x

Mr.Snowman......

Morning all, another quick blog today. I saw these on
pinterest, and just had to have a go at making them. It's just a battery operated tea light, with a snowman's face drawn on. For the ear muffs I've used a pipe cleaner across the top with a mini pom pom on each end. Then I added a piece of ribbon on the back to hang him up with.
This is him with his "nose" lit up !!!!

Enjoy your day. x

Rudolf Christmas Decoration.

Morning all, hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. I can't believe that next weekend is the August bank holiday weekend.......so that means no more bank holidays until CHRISTMAS !!!!!

On that bombshell, here is another felt Christmas decoration. I'm really enjoying making these.....and to be honest, if I don't sell them, they will be on my Christmas tree this year !!

He is quite a large deer at nearly 6 inches high (to the tip of his antlers) and nearly 5 inches ear to ear!. Talking about his antlers....I was going to make them out of felt, but then decided to use a brown pipe cleaner instead. I've also stuck on googly eyes, rather than sew felt eyes on.

Enjoy your Monday......I'm going out to lunch with my two best friends today, so not much will get done today LOL !!! x

Report Back......

Morning all, well wasn't Saturday wet & windy??

Did my craft fair yesterday, and pleased to report I did quite well, despite of the weather and also there was a serious road crash nearby and 2 of the main roads were closed, so some people couldn't get through to us.

Turn out could have been better, but it was the first one organised at that venue, and the organiser was very nervous, even though all the stall holders that had booked a table turned up. Luckily for me there was only one other "crafty stall", a lady that made crochet charms, keyrings, baby bootees etc.

There were 5 tables doing ladies clothes, a handbag stall, a jewellery stall, cosmetics, jams, manicures, and massages. The lady doing crochet items didn't sell anything, most of the other stalls seemed to be doing ok, and I sold quite a few things:- the animal stationery set, some owl keyrings, some of my gift boxes plus some felt toys.....so I was happy, especially as the table was for free.

Doing another next Saturday, so we'll have to see how that goes.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.....I'm continuing to make Christmas felt decorations, so will post them as soon as they are completed. Also I think I'll make another animal stationery set !!

Bye for now x

Wild Thing........

Morning all, hope you are all well & happy at the start of the weekend.
I'm doing a craft fair today, and managed to make another stationary set. I've used Pollyanna Pickering "World Wiidlife" cd rom  for the papers, toppers, cards and gift tags.

A beautiful cd with other wild animals like:- lions, elephants, giraffes, meerkats & tigers. I've chosen the cheetahs to decorate the stationary set.

 Little 3 x 3 gift cards.
and 6 tags. The images are beautiful. Will definitely use the cd again soon.

Will let you know how I do at the craft fair tomorrow, so please make sure you pop by. x

Thank-You Stationary Set......

Morning all, Friday once again , and looking forward to the weekend.

I managed to make this Christmas Thank you stationary set, after intending to do it the other day.

I made a few little notelets with "thanks" on them. There's paper and envelopes too.
Rather than a notepad, I've added some sheets that I've done on the computer. They have lines and headings. The headings are:- date, present, from, and thank-you sent. I thought that way, people could make a note of what they received and from whom, then when they've done a thank-you note, they can tick off on the list. A good idea for children.....who get so many presents at Christmas that they forget who sent what gift.

Enjoy your weekend. I'm doing another craft fair tomorrow....will report back and let you know how it goes. x

MAWTT Challenge.....Clean & Simple....

Morning all, MAWTT Challenge again today.

Today's challenge has been set by Sue B, who wants to see "Clean & Simple".
Quite difficult for me......not one for the "less is more" designs......i like to add more & more.

So i thought to help me not to put too much onto the card, I would keep the card small. This is only 5.75 x 5.75 inches square.

I used the "X Cut hexagon dies", and cut out the 4 largest sizes, and layered alternatively in red & white. The poinsettia in the centre is made from ribbon, that had wire running through the bottom edge. I just pulled the wire up to gather the ribbon and then tied off to create the flower. A pearl flat backed gem in the centre. 2 little holly leaves in the top corners and the wording, completes the card.
Pop over to MAWTT movingalongwiththetimes.blogspot.com to see the other design teams cards......or why not enter yourself.

Have a great day. x

Do People Still Write Letters??????

Morning all, I'm asking the question "do people still write letters?". I must admit that I rarely write a letter now, i prefer to email or text. Although it is really nice to receive a hand written letter.
I decided to make another stationery box. I made some a while back and sold them at my first craft fair this year, but I just hadn't got around to making more. I was at home yesterday waiting for Forensic to come around.........

That sound's drastic doesn't it?. My son's wings mirrors were vandalised during Monday night, Tuesday morning and I found the backing plastic for some pliers right by the car. So I phoned 101 to report the crime and to get a crime number for his insurance co. They were going to come over and take fingerprints.....but they didn't hold out much hope for catching anyone. Just an inconvenience for us.............

........so while I was sitting at home, I thought I would make another one!!!

My intention was to make it Christmassy with thank-you notes inside (must do that soon !!), but when I saw this sweet paper I decided to choose this instead.
As you can see I have made matching tags......
....stamp holder and notebook & pen.
The stationey set when opened out.

Took me the morning to make....but pleased with the results.

Pop by tomorrow for the "Movingalongwiththetimes" challenge.

Bye for now. xx

Christmas Puddings.........

Morning all, another day, and more felt Christmas decorations......this time Christmas Puddings !!

Very simple to make. I cut 2 circles in brown felt, and one in cream felt. Then i cut the cream one, creating  wavy line across to create the "topping" on the Christmas pudding. I sewed the cream piece onto one of the brown circles, and then sewed the two circles together, using blanket stitch, and leaving a small gap at the top. Just stuffed a little, then attached the ribbon, before sewing up the gap. Then attached the red bead onto the holly, at the same time sewing onto the Christmas pudding.
I put a few stitches around the holly leaves, just to hold in place.
Lovely and sunny here in Kent over the last few days......let's hope it continues.

Enjoy the weather, and your day, and thanks for stopping by. x

Christmas Decorations.......

Morning all, hope you are all well today, at the start of a new working week.

Spurred on from my success at my craft fair.....I thought I would continue making bits ready for the Christmas fairs.

All made out of felt. All hand cut, except for the baubles below, they were a spellbinders die and the heart shape was also a die. I have hand stitched all of these over the weekend.
I have added "hot fix crystals" on them, apart from the gingerbread man.
Enjoy your day, and hopefully see you all again very soon. x

Good Day at The Craft Fair.......

Morning all, just a quick blog to report back on yesterday.

Pleased to say it went well. My friend and I both made about £20, after expenses, so was pleased.

The fair was held outside, despite being told I could have a table inside. Luckily, despite several rain clouds going over, the rain held off and the sun shone.

When I got back I received another message from another venue, so I am doing another craft fair next Saturday.

Enjoy your Sunday. Xx

One For A Boy, and One For A Girl.......

Morning all, the weekend lies ahead.....hope it will be a good one for you.

A couple of small boxes made, ready for my craft fair today. One for a boy & one for a girl.

Just added the wording "boy" "girl"......no other embellishments.

Will report back tomorrow on the craft fair. Have a good day. x
